BY THE WATER

The East River Park is one of my favorite parks in Brooklyn. It's nice to seem like you're escaping the city for awhile even though you're completely surrounded by it. It reminds me of my home city Raleigh in the sense that I could escape the city straight to the beaches that were just an hour away. 

I'm obsessed with this pendent necklace by Charlene K that I got in this months Rocksbox set. I've been layering this bad boy with other necklaces but for some reason, its a perfect pair with a turtleneck.

Once again, all black never seems to fail in the winter. It only was right to break it up a little with a fun black and white plaid pant. Darker tones fall right into place for me during the colder months. Whats your go-to winter palette?

You know you've become a real New Yorker when your outfit options lead you to an all black ensemble. I don't think a week goes by where I don't pull off at least one all black moment. As much as I love color, I believe that it is my comfort zone. Plus, on those super rushed mornings it makes getting ready that much easier. 

Remember when I first got this black leather tank all the way back from when it was my birthday HERE? Well, it's finally the perfect weather in New York to wear it out without getting too hot.

I'm still rocking some jewelry from my most recent collaboration with Rocksbox! I'm loving this Gorjana necklace!
