MENSWEAR SPRING 16 | THE LINEUP

J.W Anderson

There's a very relaxed feeling of the J.W Anderson collection this season. It fits my personal style aesthetic to the t. Colorful & bright, vibrant, relaxing, and a little unisex.

Coach

I'll be honest, I was never first in line checking for Coach. However, as of lately Coach has been killing it in my opinion. I can't help but wonder who the Coach guy is season. Is he going to a rave? In a band? Whatever he is doing can I join, please? From the animal prints, to the bold use of colors, this season had a psychedelic/trippy vibe that was oddly refreshing.
(Sign me up for those shearling pool slides)

KTZ

Perhaps rubber is the new leather? Well, at least for KTZ's spring 16' collection. To me, this collection is the perfect example of "leaving something to the imagination". This collection is a tad bit revealing with the oversized transparent coats paired with tiny transparent shorts, but it's in the best way possible.

James Long

The different uses of prints-on-prints and fabrics is a refreshing change for menswear. This James Long collection is my favorite because he seems too cool for school. One of my favorite looks from this season is the tie-dyed pants with the black and white lace bomber jacket.

Burberry Prorsum

Who knew I would ever crave a lace button up until this very second?! This spring season at Burberry, it seems as if left my normal day-to-day life schedule and joined a very chic folk band. I'm loving the use of lace and animal prints -- straying off from the typical Burberry man.

THE ESSENTIALS

Photos by: Jessie Cheng

| top: QUINN, pant: APT 9, bag: Milly, sandals: ASOS |

Basics are the ESSENTIALS of my wardrobe. I'm talking great silk blend t-shirts, simple belts, and the perfect fitted casual trousers. For busy days packed with meeting (which involve running around New York City), the basics make it that much easier and comfortable!

RESORT 2016 | THE LINEUP

The Row

When it comes to oversized drapery, leave it to The Row to accomplish that & more. Ashley & Mary-Kate Olsen have done it yet again in snatching up their 2nd CFDA Womenswear designer this year. I'm looking forward to see what they create this for the upcoming spring season.

Balenciaga

There is not trace of Wang in this Balenciaga resort collection. Everything seems to be elegant, sophisticated, and polished. I am dying to see which celebrities take on this mid-century like style to the red carpet on upcoming events/award shows.

3.1 Phillip Lim

Wherever the Phillip Lim girl is going I hope she has an extra ticket because I'm down to go with her.The looks this resort season are completely chill and relaxed. A polished unpolished look to carry into the fall seems perfect to me.

Alexander Wang

I'm sorry, but does the Alexander Wang girl ever stop being a bad bitch!? Leather for resort? Yes, please! It's so easy for the the Wang girl this resort season.

Carven

I always look forward to Carven each season to see how their fabrics are constructed into different shapes. You can always count on Carven for a girly, yet mature collection.

Jason Wu

One word to describe Jason Wu this resort season is elegant. My favorite looks from this collection are those of which involves the blush tones.

Versace

Versace completely stepped out of line this resort season which brought us neon prints, sheer, and lace. I never knew those three descriptions could ever go together, but I've also learned to never say never. I just love the color explosion that Donatella took head on for her resort collection. With all the monochromatic-ness happening in fashion at the moment it's refreshing to see that she's not afraid of thinking outside the box by mixing/match bold colors and prints.

Gucci

Gucci resort 16' reminds me of a chic version of my 6th grade French teacher. She's a little odd, a tad quirky, and perhaps a little kookoo but her style is very distinct. I always love when I can watch a story play out in my head as the models walk down the runway.

Baja East

Dear Baja East, can I have everything from this season? This resort season fits the entire aesthetic of my style - blurring the lines between menswear and womenswear. I'm obsessed with the unisex drapery vibe this season. It's wearable, comfortable, and cute. Three things we all desire in our wardrobes!

Louis Vuitton

Even though the showing was over a month ago, we can't forget about Louis Vuitton's resort collection. Nicolas Ghesquiee is truly starting to define the LV girl. This season she's got a sexy, yet strong warrior vibe going on. I live for the blouse with the crisscross leather belts. It's the small details from this collection that make it so interesting.
