Oceans Away

snap-back hat c/o Pop Culture Clothing

So today I took a little trip down to Coney Island with my good friend Mimi, and surprisingly it was our first time there. The weather was gorgeous enough to lay out and soak up some sun but don't get me wrong, the main reason of our trip was solely based on the rides and food!
Mmm like: cheese fries and candy apples and hot dogs, oh my! I sure do love my fair food. Which means I'll probably weigh 350 lbs tomorrow, but for now I thought I'd share this snap of me on the beach.
Pictures of what I wore will be posted soon along with a short Coney Island diary!

Street Style Basics

You know those days where you just want to throw on a shirt and shorts and just call it a day? Well, this was one of those basic rainy days for me.
Sometimes for me its better to minimize accessorizing depending on my mood but with the crappy weather out "trying" wasn't exactly an option.

I thought that I would have to wait until fall weather to wear my new Helmut Lang top considering how hot it was becoming, but with the rain cooling down the city it ending up being perfect timing.

I feel as if all of my fall/winter clothes are magically DIYing into spring and summer pieces.
I took some of my old dark wash Levi jeans, bleached them, and chopped them into shorts in which most of my flannels slowly starting to follow in their footsteps.

Anywho, I hope the today's rain isn't stopping everyone from having a lovely day!

Backstage at JNigel: Video 1

Videography by: TJ Misny

Here's a little video of the chaos that took place backstage just hours before the JNigel fashion show. Remember, there's still 16 days left to donate here in helping fund the JNigel brand. This is a project my brother Jonathan has been working on for over a year, in which every penny of donation would count!
Thank  you all!

Up-done Downtown

Photos by: Mimi Kurtanidze

Oddly enough,  on this day I was feeling very Cruella de Vil esk. Not only because my top has dalmatians printed all over it, (hopefully one-hundred and one) but, I also feel as if Ms. De Vil would totally wear a hardcore statement necklace such as this one.
I always love adding an edgy downtown vibe to such an uptown look. And what's better then pairing this studded 3NY necklace underneath a collar for that perfect hint of edge?
Nothing.
Lately I've been in this funky kind of mood, but since summer is quickly approaching that should bring me out of my funk. Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

Printed Nights

Here's just a few shots of what I wore to the Alexis Bittar event last Thursday night! An event that celebrated yet another store opening on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. (located 79th & Columbus)
Boy, a printed shirt can make such a huge statement especially when you slap an Alexis Bittar pin right in the middle. I've noticed lately that it's all I've been doing; pairing my Alexis Bittar broaches over button downs. Or, maybe just pairing every single one of my outfits with Bittar jewelry because of my mild obsession. Who knows!
Posting pictures of the entire nights event soon!!

Romantic Nest

Photos by: Mimi Kurtanidze and me

(ASOS sunglasses, DKNY jeans top, Iceberg studded leather vest, Theory pants, J.D Fisk boots)

What is it about spring weather that makes you want to just climb a tree and lay there all day, or is that just the childish side in me? Regardless, I'm so happy we found this beautiful cherry blossom tree to escape and catch some shade in after our picnic.
I don't know what it is with my spring obsession with studded vests, or any kind of vest, in that matter
but, I couldn't resist with this icy blue leather Iceberg number.
1: It creates a pop of color that could make any outfit instant cool. And 2: with the silver studs lining the vest it gives off a 90's vibe, which I'm all about.
Pairing light blue and white calls for the perfect airy spring color palette in my eyes. I'm a sucker for a white pant. Who came up with the rule "no white after labor day" can suck it, because I'd rock a white pant all-day, every-day in a hot second. (Even though it's super risky considering they get dirty so quickly) But who cares, these white Theory pants too comfortable to pass up.
