As much as I love color, I believe that it is my comfort zone. Plus, on those super rushed mornings it makes getting ready that much easier.

I'm still rocking some jewelry from my most recent collaboration with Rocksbox! I'm loving this Gorjana necklace! Lounging around and being EXTRA lazy today in my favorite t-shirt from ALIFE. It's probably one of the funniest t-shirts I own - others being from UNIF. I probably wouldn't ever wear this out, but its fun to hang out around the house and do nothing in.

MINNOJI PRESENTATION

Last week I was invited to the MINNOJI presentation downtown in Chelsea. It was a night full of fashion, fun, cocktails, socializing, and beautiful people. It was so nice meeting the designer, Milena Encheva and hearing her talk about what inspired her resort 15' collection.

Remember when I said this summer I was going to try to stick to a theme? Well, I tried to play off of that slumber summer theme I was going for. For the event I wore: a H&M fedora, Forever 21 top, (obsessed with that baby blue and white combo btw) Torn by Ronny Kobo pants, and GBX black oxfords.

MINNOJI'S resort 15' collection was one like I'd never seen before! It was so strong and powerful yet, also feminine and flouncy. Typically when you see a resort collection, the looks are very vacation inspired. I mean hellllloooo, we are talking about resort season. But, does a vacation always have to be to a beach or on a cruise? Where is the Minnoji resort girl is going?! Because I want to be right there with her! I'm loving how each look can instantly take you from day to night. Especially that nude jumper number. Easy to wear with flats during the day but with a pump heel for the night time you're ready for girls night. My favorite piece of the night was probably the black leather dress. Simplicity at its finest. I love the detail on the shoulder. It's literally perfect for any girl in need of a new 'little black dress'.

INSPIRATIONS // SLUMBER SUMMER

Have you ever had a themed look for the summer?? A couple of friends and I were talking last night about how excited we were for summer to get here and how the city will feel somewhat alive again after that horrendous winter. Then they began to talk about what their "summer looks" were going to be. One of my friends said: "This summer I'm doing pops of neon!". Another said she was going for a "gangsta femme" approach. 

Then it made me wonder...should I have a themed summer? Personally, I've never had a themed summer -- I've always just gone with the flow. But then again, how fun would that be to change up your wardrobe a little by sticking to one style all summer long?

After some thinking, I finally came to a conclusion. I obviously want to be comfortable, chic, and casual all wrapped into one while I attempt to bear this hot summer. 

So SLUMBER SUMMER it is! Bring on he drapey t-shirts, silk pants, oversized button ups, and Birkenstocks. Yes, I said it, Birkenstocks! 

I think this summer I just want complete comfort. It probably won't happen everyday but let's see how long I can keep it up! What do you guys think about my #SlumberSummer inspiration?
